Today: printing. Next week: Two Rivers field trip
Hello printers,
I've added a link to the Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum (under resources on the right) so you can review where we're headed next Friday. I'll go over details this afternoon when we're together. Our host at Hamilton is Greg Corrigan. He'll give us a formal tour when we arrive, and the Silver Buckle has arranged (with kind thanks to the Friends of the UW-Madison Libraries grant program) for the studio fee, so we will be able to set some type and print. I'm hoping we'll have time to set type and proof Friday, and then edition and clean up Saturday before leaving in the mid-afternoon. The plan is to complete a broadside that's already in progress here in Madison. It will be the 2008 issue of our annual "Summer" broadside; we'll post a picture when it's done. And we'll note that it was printed by seminar participants at Hamilton as a commemorative.
Before next week, please also look at some online info on Rob Roy Kelly. Here's a start: http://www.rit.edu/~rkelly/html/index2.html
I look forward to seeing you this afternoon.
